$2 Million Aston Martin Car Sells Out
Crisis, schmisis. When super wealthy car freaks want something, money is no object.
According to press reports in London, Aston Martin already has buyers lined up for its entire production of the One-77, a 200-mph car that is expected to be launched next fall. Sticker price: $2.04 million. That blows past the Bugatti Veyron’s once-shocking price tag of $1.2 million.
Not much is known about the car, aside from the fact that it will have a 7.0-liter, 700-plus horsepower, V12 engine, carbon fiber chassis, and aluminum body. The meager pictures we have so far suggest the one-77 will look a bit like a pumped up DB9.
Maybe it is worth it. But for the same amount of money you could buy the following fleet of 2008 supercars:
1 Ferrari F430 (2008)–$217,000
1 Maybach 62 (2008)–$385,000
1 Maserati Gran Turismo–$200,000
1 Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren–$457,000
1 Porsche Carrera GT–$440,000
1 Lamborghini Murcielago–$365,000
Or, for the more environmentally minded, you could just buy about 90 Toyota Priuses–and still have money left over for gas.
